The dance of the Danube Mayfly is one of the most exciting topics that a research group or a nature photographer can come across. The lukewarm watercourse, the starry night reflected in the water, the gigantic mass of all-encompassing water insects are beyond imagination. At one time there are millions of insect walls moving for almost an hour, at other times only the fine dances of a few hundred individuals conjure up the atmosphere. As many nights, we may take as many pictures and as many scientific experiments for their protection. In the environment of luminous bridges, millions of Danube Mayflies may perish due to a complex ecological trap, but thanks to nature conservation efforts, an inland innovation can help them.
